Bathtime FAQs from the Zimpli Kids website:
Are your bathtime products safe?
All products have been tested to and exceed relevant European (EN71) and American (ASTM + CPSR) testing standards. We also have cosmetic testing for most of our products, which gives users that added peace of mind.
Do your products stain?
No – they will not stain your bath, skin, clothes or carpet; providing that instructions are followed correctly. We advise never to have direct skin to powder contact. By following the instructions and gently sprinkling the powder straight from the bag into the water there should not be any situation were skin becomes stained.
Would they be harmful if eaten?
Similar to shampoo or soap, our bath time products do not taste particularly nice, but won’t do any harm if accidentally consumed.
Does Gelli Baff or Slime Baff have an expiry date?
Neither Gelli Baff or Slime Baff ‘go off’ but have an official shelf life of 3 years.
How long will a Gelli Baff/Slime Baff mixture last before it breaks down?
Gelli Baff and Slime Baff are perfectly safe to use for many days if required! As part of the European Toy Testing regulations, they have passed a ‘mould free stand test’ for a minimum 31 day period.
Is Gelli Baff or Slime Baff harmful to the environment?
No. There has been substantial testing on the ingredients used in Gelli Baff and Slime Baff – all of which conclude that there are no dangers to the environment as both products are bio-degradable.
What happens if I get Slime Baff/Ooze Baff on my carpet?
Use a cloth with soap and hot water to scrub the carpet until you can no longer feel the Slime.
What is the difference between Gelli Baff & Slime Baff?
Gelli Baff has a thicker “jelly” texture and comes with two sachets – Step 1, the Gelli powder and Step 2, the Dissolver.
Whereas the Slime Baff powder has a more gooey, slimy texture and only comes with the 1 sachet – the slime powder; which can be diluted by just adding more water.
What are the effects of Gelli Baff and Slime Baff on my drainage system?
Gelli Baff and Slime Baff, being both toy and cosmetic products, have passed through stringent testing and exceeded all safety requirements in Europe, the US & many other countries worldwide, along with all our other bath time ranges. Our bath products are degradable and will not cause any harm to your drains. However, if there are or have been existing problems with your drainage system ie a re-occurring blockage or very slow draining water then we do advise to dispose of the Gelli Baff or Slime Baff down a toilet or drain.
What dissolves Gelli Baff?
The dissolver powder included is ordinary table salt, so if for any reason you need to dilute the Gelli Baff further, just add more salt. Occasionally at the end of a Gelli Baff you may have a tiny amount of beads left, if so, simply scoop them up using a cup & flush down the toilet.
What dissolves Slime Baff?
No dissolver powder is needed for Slime Baff – just dilute with plenty of water!
Is it safe to use Gelli Baff and Slime Baff with Septic Tanks?
Yes – Both Gelli Baff and Slime Baff are safe to use with Septic Tanks.
